• Allan Hubbard,

    Chairman ׀ Partner

    In 1977, Al Hubbard co-founded E&A Industries. Along with searching for new acquisition opportunities, Al is instrumental in the oversight of E&A’s current portfolio holdings.

    In addition to his work at E&A Industries, Al served in the White House under two different administrations. During the George H.W. Bush administration, Al was Deputy Chief of Staff to Vice President Dan Quayle and Executive Director of the President’s Council on Competitiveness. More recently for President George W. Bush, Al was Assistant to the President for Economic Policy and Director of the National Economic Council. Currently, Al serves on the Board of Directors for the Simon Property Group, Acadia Healthcare, the Lumina Foundation, the Economic Club, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

    Al earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, his MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and his B.A., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.

  • Devin Anderson,

    Chief Executive Officer ׀ President ׀ Partner

    Devin Anderson is the Chief Executive Officer / President of E&A companies. Devin oversees E&A’s portfolio companies and leads the acquisition team.

    In 1997, Devin led the acquisition and operations of Gilchrist & Soames, a purveyor of fine English toiletries in the North American independent luxury hotel market. Under his leadership, the company grew from a regional company with 10 employees and $6 million in revenue to a global company with 120 employees and $45 million in revenue. E&A sold Gilchrist & Soames in October 2007 to Swander Pace Capital in San Francisco. More recently, Devin was the President / CEO of Udi’s Healthy Foods, the leading U.S. manufacturer of gluten free baked goods.  Devin guided Udi’s from $6 million in revenue in 2010 to a run rate in excess of $100 million in revenue by June 2012.  E&A sold Udi’s to Boulder Brands in July of 2012.

    Prior to joining E&A companies in 1997, Devin served in a number of political and governmental leadership positions in the Republican Party including Chief of Staff to Indiana Congressman David McIntosh and U.S. Senator Dan Coats.

    Devin received a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin College. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a Trustee of Franklin College and is active in several not-for-profit organizations.

  • Jason Kashman,

    Chief Financial Officer

    Jason joined E&A in 2008 and is the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Jason provides financial oversight for all of E&A’s portfolio companies. In addition, Jason provides overall leadership concerning new acquisitions, capital investments, and resource allocation.

    Prior to joining E&A, Jason held positions in various aspects of corporate finance. Jason’s work focused on technical financial analysis and M&A for both a NYSE listed firm and a large private equity group.  In 2008, Jason was hired as E&A’s Director of Business Development. He was charged with leading the search for acquisition candidates.

    In 2009, Jason identified Udi’s Healthy Foods as a potential acquisition target and led the due diligence effort. As a result, E&A Industries acquired Udi’s in early 2010. After the acquisition, Jason was deployed to Denver to assist with managing the company. During his time with Udi’s, Jason held two executive positions, Corporate Controller and Chief Operating Officer, as well as being involved in a number of other financial and technical aspects of the business. Jason was instrumental in the success of Udi’s and eventual divestiture to Boulder Brands in July of 2012. After the divestiture of Udi’s, Jason returned to E&A as its Chief Financial Officer.

    Jason earned both his B.S. and MBA in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

  • Roger Nieman,

    Vice President of Human Resources

    Roger Nieman is Vice President of Human Resources for E&A. Roger provides overall leadership and coordination of E&A’s Human Resource functions. Along with developing and implementing corporate Human Resource strategies and programs, Roger directly administers the Human Resource functions of multiple E&A portfolio companies.

    Before joining E&A in 1988, Roger held corporate roles at JCPenney and International Telephone & Telegraph and an administrative role at Butler University, all with Human Resource responsibilities.

    Roger earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Missouri. Along with his work at E&A, Roger is active in the community as a leader in youth sports and professionally as an advocate for the advancement of the field of human resources, both academically and professionally.

  • Robert Fuller,

    Vice President of Operations

    Bob Fuller joined the U.S. Navy after high school where he trained as a Marine Mechanic.  While in the Navy, Bob completed Nuclear Power School.  For most of his career, he served as a Water Chemistry Technician managing the reactor coolant and radiation monitoring systems aboard the USS Long Beach, CGN9.

    After his time in the Navy, Bob joined E&A in 1978 as a Warehouse Technician with Car Brite.  Demonstrating an exceedingly high aptitude for operations and general management, Bob quickly rose through the E&A ranks to Vice President of Operations.  Over the past 35 years, Bob has developed, overseen, and improved most of E&A companies’ operations.  Currently, Bob is improving Lyssé’s operational effectiveness as well as assisting with transitioning new acquisitions into the E&A family.  In addition, he plays a key role in the due diligence process.

     

  • Mark Carlson,

    Director of Business Develepment

    Mark joined E&A in February 2014 and is the company’s Director of Business Development.  In this role, Mark will actively seek new opportunities and acquisitions, both as new platform companies and add-ons to current portfolio holdings. Further, he provides due diligence and support to the acquisition team.

    Prior to joining E&A, Mark worked as a risk analyst at Newedge Group, a Futures Clearing Merchant based in Chicago. At Newedge, Mark analyzed client risk based on different scenarios within their portfolio as well as calculating margin requirements for professional trades.

    Mark earned his B.S in Finance and Economics from the University of Nebraska and then went on to earn his JD/MBA from Creighton University.

  • Tom Laughner,

    Director of Business Development

    Tom joined E&A in May 2014 and is the company’s Director of Business Development.  In this role, Tom will actively seek new opportunities and acquisitions, both as new platform companies and add-ons to current portfolio holdings. Further, he provides due diligence and support to the acquisition team.

    Prior to joining E&A, Tom was a Senior Consultant for an enterprise software firm specializing in improving marketing operations. Tom also has significant experience modeling and providing due diligence analysis for venture capital as well as middle-market private equity acquisitions.

    Tom earned his B.S. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Indiana University Kelley School of Business and his MBA in Finance from The University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business.
